Our story

How we got our start?

Because of her education in the psychology of smell and synesthyesia (the interconnectedness of your five senses), Pinrose founder Erica Shumate’s friends would ask her for advice on perfume so often that she teamed-up with a classmate from Stanford Business School, Christine Luby, to start Pinrose.

What makes our product unique?

At Pinrose, we combine color, music and imagery to create our own mood boards, and then work with top perfumers and fragrance houses to make multi-faceted scents from those mood boards that help you express who you are and want to be.
